Hindu woman to contest Pak assembly elections for 1st time

Sunita Parmar has become the first Hindu woman to contest the upcoming provincial assembly elections in Pakistan, the local media reported. Parmar, who hails from the Hindu Meghwar community, is contesting polls from Tharparkar district in Pakistan's Sindh province as an independent candidate. The Tharparkar district reportedly has the highest number of Hindus in Pakistan.
